… and what then? curator talk

The Living Art Museum welcomes you to a guided tour of the museum’s current exhibition … and what then? at The Marshall House, Sunday 7th July at 3 PM.

Sunna Ástþórsdóttir, the curator of the exhibition, will provide the tour which is free of charge and open to everyone. The tour will be conducted in Icelandic.

Exhibited artists include: Andreas Brunner, Eva Ísleifs, Freyja Eilíf, Fritz Hendrik IV, Huginn Þór Arason, Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson, Rebecca Erin Moran, Rúna Þorkelsdóttir, Steinunn Gunnlaugsdóttir, Thorvaldur Thorsteinsson, Þórður Ben Sveinsson.

Together and individually the works address the imminent and investigate art as an influencer. What does it tell us about the future? Can art change what is yet to happen? Even many years after the work was created? Does art help us cope with reality or to disappear into different realms? If so, where to? How can art be political? By taking a stand? Or by helping us get away from the everyday? By showing us something that might possibly never happen?

The exhibition will go on until the 4th of August 2019.
