Welcome to the opening of … and what then? Thursday June 13 2019 at 6 pm

And what then? These words involve a contrasting spectrum of feelings. Wonder, surrender, fear and powerlessness. Excitement, joy and hope. Curiosity and indifference. These different threads all gather in uncertainty.

Uncertainty about what could have been, did or did not take place, and what is yet to come.

Uncertainty which rips us out of the now, towards different destinations and other possible scenarios. And what then?

Welcome to an artist talk with Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson Thursday the 1st of August at 8 pm. The duo will, amongst other, talk about their works currently exhibited at the museum’s summer exhibition …and what then? No entry and everyone is welcome!

The talk will be conducted in English

At … and what then? Works of 12 artists meet, which together and individually adress the imminent and investigate art as an influence. Exhibiting artists include:

Welcome to a guided tour of … and what then? Thursday July 18th at 4 pm.

Can art change what is yet to happen? Does art help us to cope with reality or to disappear into different realms? If so, where to? How can art be political? …and what then?

This years summer exhibition in The Living Art Museum is a platform for speculation, for changing one’s mind. A guided tour will provide you with background information about the summer exhibition and its art pieces.

The tour will be conducted in English. No entry and everyone is welcome!
